Breast-Ease™ Support (heat and cool Pad)
Breast-Ease™ Support (heat and cool Pad)
When being hot then cold is a good thing!
HEAT THERAPY: Warm your breasts to help encourage milk output, let-downs, relieve mastitis and plugged ducts.
COLD THERAPY: Cool your breasts to help relieve pain and swelling due to engorgement and mastitis.
INCLUDES: 2 reusable gel packs & 2 plush cloth covers
In a small randomized controlled study of pumping mothers, researchers found that warming up breasts before using an electric breast pump is associated with a significant increase in the amount of breastmilk! A compress that was warmed up in a microwave was applied to one of the breasts for 20 minutes, and both breasts were stimulated by an electric breast pump for 15 minutes. The amount of breastmilk that was collected from the warmed breasts was significantly higher than that collected from the non-warmed breasts. One theory as to why: warming our breasts may aid the oxytocin reflex!1

Have tried both the heat and cool functions, love its dual purpose! The pads helps to promote milk let-downs and reduce my clogged ducts (warm compress) while the cold compress helps to reduce nipple soreness. A must have for breastfeeding mothers out there 👍🏼
