FAQ

The parts (minus the tubing and tubing adapters) should be submerged in boiling water for 3 minutes to sterilise them before your first use. Then after each subsequent use, we recommend that you disassemble the collection cups, silicone breast shields, valves, and valve bases, rinse them with cold water, and then hand-wash them in warm, soapy water. They should then be rinsed well and allowed to air-dry on a dedicated rack or clean cloth. Using sterilisers or harsh detergents can warp the delicate silicone pieces and should be avoided. UV sterilisation or cold sterilisation is acceptable though.

What we've found is that there can be a bit of a learning curve when it comes to maximising milk output and comfort with wearable cups, so please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns!

Please see the "Compatible with" section above for a list of compatible pumps.

The silicone duckbill valves should be replaced after 1-2 months, but the silicone membranes that are sold as part of our spare black flow protectors should last around 4 months before needing to be replaced. For best results and longevity of the parts, we recommend that they be boiled once to sterilise them, and then after each subsequent use, we recommend that you hand wash them in warm, soapy water

High heat sterilisation methods like a steam steriliser will most likely cause the silicone parts to wear out faster and you may even see the hard plastic pieces begin to warp. If you have a steam sterilising machine that has a dry only function, you can use that to dry your parts!
